In February 2026, Success In Challenges founder Leon Wood was honored by Children's Defense Fund California for more than two decades of dedicated service to Long Beach youth and families. This recognition is a reflection of the entire SIC community — every scholar, parent, volunteer, and partner who has shown up over the years.
